Motivation To Run
This is the level of government where I feel I am least represented. In our district the previous office holder ran unopposed in 2024. He is not seeking re-election. The Texas Legislature has runaway momentum due to dominance of a single party. This is allowing distraction from the primary duty to uphold the TX Constitution.\
First, I meet the constitutional requirements for the office.

I hold an Undergraduate Degree from Dartmouth College, Hanover NH. I studied geology and completed and honors thesis. Formative experiences included a three-month language study program in Beijing China and membership in the Sigma Delta sorority.
I earned my Ph.D. in Geology from the University of Oregon, Eugene OR. My dissertation focused on 18 Million Year Old fossil leaves from the Oregon Coast. My work suggested that the Oregon region was much warmer in the past. Similar to our Piney Woods area in Texas.
Professional Experience:
ExxonMobil: Geologic Exploration and Business Development: 2009 to Present. Currently on Leave of Absence.
Various customer service jobs when I was younger.

Somehow it seems that political identity has become stronger than almost anything else. I just don’t want to be a part of that. I don’t think it is productive.
I support all who participate in the political process.
I support democracy.
If people don’t run, we don’t have choices. I am a person. I am running.
Let it be known. If you live in District 126. You have a choice. I am running to give you a choice. Please, come along. It will be fun!
To appear on the November 2026 ballot I will need to submit at least 500 signatures of voters from this district. The signatures will need to be gathered after the conclusion of the primary, which may include a run-off election. Valid signatures will be from registered voters that did not participate in the primary.

District 126 is a suburban district with people in a number of different neighborhoods. There is a complicated mix of City of Houston and Harris County jurisdiction, and families are served by Klein and Cypress school districts. Residents are educated and diverse. Not poor, not rich. Not city, not country. Just rich, poor, city, country folk living together.
