Texas Ethics Commission

The Texas Ethics Commission is the organization that monitors campaign finance in Texas.  I have registered with them and we are now ready to collect donations for the campaign.

Donations!  There are many ways to donate.  You can make a general donation.  Or, if you want to sponsor something specific to be deployed in the district you can do that too.  Find your way to the shop to check it out.

In order to accept funds.  The Texas Ethics Commission wanted me to be aware of a few things.  They are below:

I am aware of the Nepotism Law, Chapter 573 of the Texas Government Code.:

(Can’t Hire Family with Public Funds.  I understand that campaign contributions can be used to hire family.)

I am aware of my responsibility to file timely reports as required by title 15 of
the Election Code.

(report will be due in June)

I am aware of the restrictions in title 15 of the Election Code on contributions
from corporations and labor organizations.

Hi! Thanks for asking! For those far away we can set you up with addresses for a letter writing effort. I am running to give people a choice other than Democrat/Republican. But, they can’t make a choice if I am not on the ballot. And, they can’t help me get on the ballot if they don’t know about me. Alternatively, you can contact media organizations via email and share information about the campaign. Thanks!
