You: How can I help you get elected?
Me: Thank you for asking. The spring of 2026 is primary season. Since I am running as an Independent for the primary I need supporters to sign a petition, instead of participating in voting at a polling location. The spring primary polling locations are for people to vote in the primaries of established parties. I am running as an independent. This means I do not belong to a party.
You: Ok, so the first step is the primary?
Me: Yes.
You: And you need me to sign a petition, not go to the polls?
Me: Yes
You: Ok. Am I eligible to sign your petition?
Me: If you are a registered voter and a resident of Texas District 126. You can sign my petition.
You: How do I know what district I am in?
Me: Check out this map.
You: I live in the district. I can sign the petition.
